Where do I change Webmail preferences and saved responses?

Webmail keeps mailbox-specific display, message and composition preferences, along with reusable response text.

Before you start

Sign in to the intended mailbox. These settings are separate from shared Account preferences.

What to do

  1. Open Settings and Preferences. Choose the relevant section for the interface, mailbox view, message display, composing or contacts.
  2. Change only the intended preference, save and reopen the affected mailbox view to check its behaviour.
  3. For reusable message text, open Responses, create or edit the intended response and save. Review inserted response text in a draft before sending.

What happens next

The mailbox uses the saved preference or makes the saved response available in the supported compose controls.

If something goes wrong

A saved response is not an automatic reply or forwarding rule. Do not assume optional server filters or other plugins are available when they are not shown; ask the mailbox administrator about those capabilities.
