How do I create folders and choose which folders are shown?

Webmail folders organise mailbox messages. Folder subscriptions control which available folders appear in the mailbox view.

Before you start

Check the mailbox identity and preserve messages before any folder-removal action.

What to do

  1. Open Settings and choose Folders. Review the existing folder names and hierarchy.
  2. Use the available create or edit action for the intended folder. Check its parent folder before saving.
  3. Use the subscription control to show or hide an available folder, then return to Mail and check the folder list.
  4. Check the configured special folders before changing where Sent, Drafts, Spam or Trash messages are stored.

What happens next

The mailbox view reflects the accepted folder and subscription settings.

If something goes wrong

Hiding a folder does not delete it. Deleting a folder can remove its messages; do not use deletion to fix a hidden-folder problem. Ask the mailbox administrator about restricted folders or unexpected server behaviour.
