How do I connect a domain and check HTTPS?

Before you start

Domain and DNS changes require the appropriate authority.

What to do

1. Check the exact domain and its current DNS state in the project.
2. Use the supported Cloudflare connection controls for the intended environment.
3. Resolve conflicting existing records before creating a different target.
4. Issue or inspect HTTPS, then open the ordinary public domain and check for certificate errors.

What happens next

The domain reaches the intended environment over trusted HTTPS.

If something goes wrong

Do not overwrite an unfamiliar DNS record or disable certificate checks. Report the exact hostname and observed error to the domain administrator.
